August 2006
Is it hot enough for you?
I know, I know. If one more person asks you that question, you're gonna deck 'em. Me too. The higher
the mercury climbs, the more we seem to talk about the weather around here. As a certifiable
I-Hate-Summer Girl, it's only adding insult to injury. I'm consoling myself with the fact that
it's now August and that means September is right around the corner and with it the promise of
cooling relief.
(Global warming, anybody? I can't speak for the globe, but I can tell you that here in central NJ
it's definitely getting warmer.)
So what's new around here? Actually I do have a few things to report. Nine other authors and I
launched a new blog called Romancing The Yarn where we talk about knitting, writing, and life. We're
brand new and just beginning to get a feel for things but I hope you'll drop by, visit awhile, and
enter our contest.
Also, to my amazement, I'm sending out my Writers Daily Quotes and He Said She Said quotes on
a (gasp!) daily basis so if you were thinking about signing up, now might be a good time. I've
also been fairly good about my own personal blog www.bmafb.blogspot.com although I've neglected
it this past week in favor of actually sending out a backlog of Free Stuff as promised to some
very patient readers. I'm also hard at work on a novella for Harlequin (a wedding in Paris -
does it get more romantic than that?) and doing pre-planning for my next book for Berkley. I try
to squeeze in some knitting but it's getting hard to find the time. Isn't that the one thing we all
long for: more time!
What's new this month:
- New contest
- New recipe - a classic tomato sandwich recipe from Laura Oka
- New blog http://www.romancingtheyarn.blogspot.com
- Old blog http://www.bmafb.blogspot.com
Warmly,
