Kali's World's Best Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese Sauce
My friend Kali is not only brilliant, wickedly funny, and blessed with the world's best mother (hello, Marie!), she's also an inventive and terrific cook. This recipe quickly became one of our all-time favorites.
Ingredients:
Green onions, chopped
Butter
1 3-ounce package cream cheese
3 T dry white wine (a table Chablis or chardonnay is fine)
2 T minced parsley, dill, whatever you like (we love thyme)
Garlic, through the garlic press (amount is up to you)
Pepper - cayenne or black, whatever
Saute the green onions (we call them scallions) in a little butter. Toss in garlic and herbs -
don't let the garlic brown whatever you do. Add pepper. Stir in wine then gently melt the
cream cheese and whisk it all together.
This is absolutely fantastic over cod or flounder or any mild white fish cooked in just
about any manner.
