Did you hear the loud sigh of relief last week? That was the sound of a writer finally coming to the end
of a manuscript that refused to cooperate. I'll admit there were times when I didn't think I would ever
manage to shepherd Hayley and Finn toward their happily-ever-after ending but I guess they took pity on
me and finally admitted that I had been right all along: they really are right for each other.
Some books are like that and even though I've been writing for a very long time I still don't understand why.
Just Like Heaven almost wrote itself. I'd get up in the morning, turn on the computer, and the words were
there at my fingertips, waiting to be captured. Not so with It's In His Kiss (February 2008.) The words
were at my fingertips but they were never the words I was expecting. Then again I wasn't expecting to
write the story of a thirty-eight year old single mother from South Jersey who discovers her biological
father is a rock star.
I haven't blogged in the last two weeks but in order to lure myself back into the discipline, I've decided to
run weekly (okay, I'm aiming for weekly) contests at both Romancing The Yarn
and my own blog that I hope will entice you to drop by and visit often.
So here's what's new and possibly notable this month:
- New contest here
- New contests here and
here
- Wonderful new recipe from our Food Goddess
- There's gotta be something else but I can't remember what!
Warmly,
